How Merivo Global Recruitment Limited collects, uses and protects personal information, written in plain English.
Who we are
Merivo Global Recruitment Limited is a recruitment business registered in England and Wales, company number 16876918, with its registered office at 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us about anything in it at hello@merivoglobal.co.uk.
The information we collect
If you are a candidate: your name and contact details, your CV and the information in it (work history, education, skills), your salary details and expectations, your work preferences, right-to-work information where required, notes from our conversations, and references where you have put someone forward.
If you are a client or prospective client: the business contact details of the people we deal with, information about the roles you are hiring for, and records of our correspondence.
If you visit this website: nothing. We do not set cookies, run analytics, or track visitors. If you use one of our enquiry forms, the details you type are used to compose an email from your own email application; they are not stored by this website.
How we use it
- To find and assess suitable roles for candidates, and suitable candidates for clients.
- To introduce candidates to clients, always with the candidate's consent first.
- To manage offers, placements and aftercare.
- To keep in touch about roles and market information you would reasonably expect from a recruiter you have registered with.
- To meet our legal obligations, for example right-to-work checks and record keeping.
Our lawful bases
We rely on legitimate interests (running a recruitment business and connecting candidates with roles), consent (before introducing you to a named client, and for keeping in touch), contract (when arranging a placement), and legal obligation (where the law requires checks or records).
Who we share it with
Candidate details are shared with a client only after we have named the client to the candidate and the candidate has agreed. We do not sell personal information to anyone. We use reputable service providers, such as email and document storage, to run the business; they process information on our instructions only.
How long we keep it
We keep candidate records for up to two years after our last meaningful contact, then delete or anonymise them unless you ask us to keep in touch, or the law requires us to keep specific records for longer. Client business records are kept for as long as we work together and for the statutory periods after.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, withdraw consent at any time, and ask us to stop contacting you. Email hello@merivoglobal.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
Third-party services on this website
This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives a standard technical request (including your IP address) when the page loads. No other third-party services run on the site.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first and give us the chance to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date below.
